From d118cd74b6ff342b978b493d56f9306028e364cf Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Peter Powell Date: Tue, 14 Jul 2015 14:37:42 +0100 Subject: Use "NOTICE *" before registration instead of "NOTICE AUTH". AUTH is a valid nickname so sending notices to it is probably not a good idea. Use * as the target instead as done with numerics when the nick is not available. This mimics the behaviour in Charybdis, IRCD-Hybrid, InspIRCd 2.2, Plexus 4, etc. --- doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) (limited to 'doc') diff --git a/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl b/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl index b5db1d9e..c39df594 100644 --- a/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl +++ b/doc/sample-ngircd.conf.tmpl @@ -193,7 +193,7 @@ ;MorePrivacy = no # Normally ngIRCd doesn't send any messages to a client until it is - # registered.
